What do you stand for, and what values do you want this business run on? Say it the way you would to a new head on his first day.

We tell the truth early, even when it is bad news. We give a date we can hold and we refuse the one we cannot. Whoever finds a problem fixes it and then says so. Salaries first, and the work stays in Bhosari with the people who built it. And we grow on our own money — a loan for a machine, never for expenses, and no share of the company sold.

  • Bad news travels fastest

What it looks like · A problem is said out loud the hour it is found, to the person who can act on it — not at the review, not after the customer has noticed.

What we never do · Finding out from the customer what our own people already knew.

Where this came from · one time it was tested (optional)
Mistakes I can take. Being told late, that I cannot — by then it is my word to the customer that is broken.
  • We say no before, not sorry after

What it looks like · A date or a tolerance is refused on the call if we cannot hold it, and an order is allowed to be lost that way.

What we never do · Agreeing to a date we already know we will miss.

Where this came from · one time it was tested (optional)
You say no on the phone, then. Not after. I have lost orders this way and I sleep fine.
  • Fix it yourself, then tell someone

What it looks like · The person who finds it handles it, whatever the hour and whoever's job it was — and says so afterwards so it can be prevented next time.

What we never do · Leaving a known problem for the shift that comes after.

Where this came from · one time it was tested (optional)
He unloaded it himself, alone, and re-checked every box. Nobody told him.
  • The people here are the company

What it looks like · Salaries are paid before anything else, and the company grows where its people already live.

What we never do · A late salary, or moving the work away from Bhosari.

Where this came from · one time it was tested (optional)
I will not leave Bhosari — the people here are my people. And salaries will never be late, whatever happens.
  • We grow on our own money

What it looks like · Borrowing is against an asset that earns — a machine, never a month's expenses — and no share of the company is sold to fund growth.

What we never do · Outside equity, or a loan taken to cover running costs.

Where this came from · one time it was tested (optional)
A loan for a machine is fine — a machine earns. A loan for expenses, never.
