Heads' review — the week, and the export enquiry

Monday, 24 August · 10 am · Internal

shared with the 7 in the room

Summary

Anil opened on dispatch: 71% of orders left on the promised date over twelve months, against 85% targeted this year. Vinod explained that the tracker is filled at the end of the shift, so the real figure is unknown, and the goal built on it is now marked as resting on a disputed instrument. Prakash raised a Stuttgart enquiry for housings; nobody spends time on a PPAP until we know whether they want a sample or a quote. Two heads still owe responses on their department goals.

Decisions

2

What the room settled. It changes no record, and it is the first thing everyone forgets.

  1. 1

Nobody spends time on a PPAP submission until we know whether Stuttgart wants a sample or a quote.

  2. 2

The on-time figure stands at 71% but is now marked as measured by an instrument that records the shift, not the hour.

Action items

What the notetaker heard is a task only once somebody who was in the room confirms it on the meeting page.

  • Ask the Stuttgart enquiry whether they want a sample or a quote first

What we learned

1

What the company should not have to learn twice.

  1. Exporting a housing: what has to be true first

IATF scope already covers housings. A new export customer additionally needs a PPAP submission; at level three that is six to eight weeks. So the first question to any export enquiry is whether they want a sample or a quote, because only one of those starts the clock.

Open questions

1

Asked of somebody who was not in the room.

  1. The on-time key result rests on the dispatch tracker, and this meeting said the tracker records the shift rather than the hour. Deepak and Vinod both own targets built on it.

What was said6 lines · the transcript Corto's lines came from
  1. 1Anil opened on the dispatch number. Seventy-one per cent on the promised date for the twelve months, and the target this year is eighty-five.
  2. 2Vinod said the tracker is filled at the end of the shift, so a truck that leaves at seven is logged as the next day. The number is worse than the reality but nobody knows by how much.
  3. 3Prakash raised the German enquiry — a Stuttgart tier-two asking about housings, through the Pune trade office.
  4. 4Shubhangi said IATF scope covers it but the PPAP would need a level three submission and that is six to eight weeks.72% — checked before anything is written
  5. 5Anil asked Prakash to find out whether they want a sample or a quote first, before anybody spends time on PPAP.
  6. 6Meera flagged that two heads have not yet responded on their department goals.
