What the room decided

Changes no record, and is the first thing everyone forgets.

  • Nobody spends time on a PPAP submission until we know whether Stuttgart wants a sample or a quote.

  • The on-time figure stands at 71% but is now marked as measured by an instrument that records the shift, not the hour.

What Corto would change · 3

Nothing is written until you confirm it, one at a time. Every change keeps the transcript as its source.

  • Task

created: Ask the Stuttgart enquiry whether they want a sample or a quote first — Prakash, before Friday

  • Task

created: Establish how far the dispatch tracker's end-of-shift entry moves the on-time number — Vinod, this week

  • Key result · Dispatched on the promised date

    instrument: dispatch tracker

instrument disputed — the tracker records the shift, not the hour

What somebody has to answer

Asked of people who were not in the room. Corto asks before it writes.

  • A goal rests on this · Vinod

The on-time key result rests on the dispatch tracker, and this meeting said the tracker records the shift rather than the hour. Deepak and Vinod both own targets built on it.

If not: Corto marks the key result's instrument as disputed until Vinod says what it should be.

Rule 9: a key result may not count into an instrument that does not measure what it claims to.

What the company now knows

  • Exporting a housing: what has to be true first

IATF scope already covers housings. A new export customer additionally needs a PPAP submission; at level three that is six to eight weeks. So the first question to any export enquiry is whether they want a sample or a quote, because only one of those starts the clock.

Worth keeping because: First time this has been established in the company. It will be asked again the next time an enquiry arrives.
